Why is Piney Ridge the Right Fit?

Why Choose Piney Ridge

Piney Ridge Center is unique in that we exclusively serve children with problematic sexual behaviors that are complicated by mental illness. The treatment program is designed to address both equally. This is achieved through a level-based program that requires residents to take responsibility for both general behavior problems associated with mental health illness as well as problematic sexual behaviors. Residents receive multiple treatment modalities including individual, group, family, and recreational therapy. The highly-structured program provides an environment in which our residents can learn and apply healthy coping skills, behavior management techniques, and relapse prevention tools to assist them once they successfully complete the program and reintegrate back into their community.

Who We Serve

Piney Ridge Center was established in order to better serve the needs of children and adolescents with sexual behavior problems. Often these behaviors are complicated by other disorders such as ADHD, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, and other behavioral and mood disorders. A highly structured behavioral management program is implemented to assist residents in gauging their treatment and progress. The program also assists residents in learning to accept responsibility for their own behaviors, both positive and negative.

A Multidisciplinary Approach

Each child receives an individualized assessment and treatment plan. Treatment is administered under the direction of a psychiatrist and includes therapists, nurses, social workers, teachers, therapeutic recreation specialists and others committed to the well being of our residents. Our mission is to provide the best possible patient outcomes utilizing industry standard best practices.
